Federal report recommends teaching self-regulation in schools

Self-regulation skills are important across a lifespan.  These skills are most developed in early childhood and early adolescence. This report claims incorporating self-regulating interventions in a school setting provides and opportunity for a cohesive approach through school and into adulthood.  The report also highlights the need for intensive skill development for kids who struggle with the basic principles.
